DREAM SIGNALS FROM PARALLEL UNIVERSES Vivid premonitions, in dreams and in waking life, may be warnings from parallel universes in which the events have already occurred. This may be a mechanism of the multidimensional universe for protecting us from disaster. Sometimes, a positive parallel future universe may wink at us to stay a present course By Eugenia Macer-Story From DARK FRONTIER Ms. Macer-Story comments, in the Introduction to her book: "Actually, I am a spy for the future in noting down this maze of occult and overt interconnections and I do hope my work will be accessed and understood as a 'demo model' of how the individual consciousness exists within a nexus of subtle and time-variable causalities. "Perhaps these perplexing areas of the universe wherein timespace folds in about itself in inexplicable ways will eventually be described by 'technical' systems which are associative and 'pattern-matching' rather than strictly linear and numerically keyed by integers in repeating decimal system. Witches and wizards of all persuasions have long known by experience that the formative energy they seek to control in activating 'magical' results operates by associative patterning rather than quantitative measuring. The 'measuring' often found as part of traditional spell-casting is actually a way of locking into process a formula for ritual, patterned action." Sometimes people have dreams which are so vivid that they are disoriented upon waking, confused as to their "actual" circumstances. It is possible that in some (but not all!) dreaming the individual becomes aware of the literal reality of parallel universes. A mundane example of this perception--which almost everyone has experienced--is waking spacially disoriented, literally not remembering where the bed is located. Sometimes this spacial disorientation may not be simply a "forgetting" or displacement in time. It may literally reflect the fact that the mundane consciousness of the individual has been "somewhere else" or expects to be somewhere else. When I was a child I began to experience an unusual dream which I remembered after waking. I do not usually remember my dreams and have come to associate a "remembered dream" with a warning of possible negative circumstances. In this dream, which I experienced many times prior to a trip to Canada in 1978, I was riding down a highway in the passenger seat of a car beside a policeman wearing a wide brimmed hat. We were on the way to meet my brother, and as we drove the yellow and black striped highway barriers were specially removed one by one to let the car pass. Always, I woke before reaching the destination in the dream with a feeling of fear. Of course, since my brother died from congenital cancer when he was very young, the destination in the dream I knew might be my own death rather than a simple reunion with my brother in the dreamtime. Then in 1978 during a vacation trip to Canada I was driving down a gravel highway which was under construction in the passenger seat of a car. As we drove, the highway construction crew waved us slowly past yellow and black striped highway markers one at a time. With a shock of recognition, I saw a Canadian mountie standing beside one of the highway barriers and realized that the hat he was wearing was the same style of hat I had seen so many times in my recurring dream. However, in this waking universe, the policeman in the distinctive hat was located outside the car. He was not driving the vehicle in which I was riding. An artist friend, who had invited me to Canada, was trying to take me on a scenic expedition and we had run into road construction along the way. I did not mention the dream aloud but inwardly I became afraid. The person who was driving the car had previously shown signs of mental instability which involved hostility and a desire to "keep me with him" in the cabin. Suddenly I realized, as I remembered the dream, that this was a serious situation and that my life might be in danger. Perhaps in some parallel universe wherein I had not had the repeating dream or did not understand the meaning of the dream I did not become apprehensive and thus increasingly suspicious and emotionally estranged from my companion as we drove slowly past the yellow and black striped barriers of the road construction. There was no overt "cue" in the situation beyond impatience with the slow progress through the road construction which might have caused me to have a premonition about the true extent of the mental instability of my companion. It was the memory of the recurring dream which changed my mood. But this memory did more than change my mood. It did save me from death or serious injury. If I had not felt suddenly estranged and chosen to occupy the guest room downstairs in the cabin, I would have been sleeping upstairs with this person on the following evening instead of in a downstairs bedroom adjacent to my son's bedroom. For on a subsequent evening, my companion became convinced that he was being pursued by demons. Late at night he began plunging his hunting knife into the walls of the stairwell and the upstairs bedroom, leaving notes about the demons on the table in the downstairs living room. Possibly, if I had not (for no rational reason) felt overwhelming fear and apprehension because of my previous, repetitive dream, I might have been injured by the knife he was using to attack the invisible demons he perceived in the walls of the cabin. After this incident, I had never had the "highway" dream again. It seems that an area of timespace had been traversed which might have included my death but (along the particular destiny track wherein I heeded my dream) did not actually result in a fatal end to my Canadian vacation. But it is also obvious that I entered a parallel universe of causality when I heeded my memory of the dream rather than brushing it aside and going forward through the vacation as planned. The key detail in the dream which is different from the ride I actually remember experiencing is that in the dream the mountie was driving the car rather than watching the road crew direct traffic around the highway barriers. This is a grisly speculation but it is true that since the cabin was in a remote location I might have been "riding beside" a mountie if I had been taken to the hospital from that location. MESSENGERS OF FATE This of course brings the discussion around to the role of remembered and/or inspired information in the parallel universe theory. Were the "demons" perceived by the individual whose behavior slipped out of rational control a figment of his own inner mental process or do these creatures actually exist sometimes as travelers between parallel universes? Are such Intelligences the instruments of four-dimensional "fate" or causality by virtue of the information they may convey or the behavior they may cause? Or are these creatures independent "Intelligences" with an agenda and appetites which stem from their particular position in the interdimensional pecking order? To paraphrase a popular folk saying: "One universe's demon may be another universe's citizen." The "incongruous" or "unacceptable" event may actually be an intrusion from one destiny pattern briefly into another, slightly different destiny pattern. Whether or not this inexplicable or irrational event actually "changes the future" of the parallel continuum into which it intrudes, this event will be experienced as "bizarre" or "skewed" because it literally does originate within a slightly but profoundly different parallel universe. Sometimes warnings may come from entities involved with a negative future which will be occurring in a parallel universe. In other words, a messenger from the future may--deliberately or in the throes of alarmed emotion--return to a significant timespace area in the past wherein a decision was made which switched events onto the negative future track. This messenger--often with an inchoate communication poorly understood in the contingent present--will suddenly intrude into the swimmingly forward progress of events with a question mark. PARALLEL HIDDEN AGENDAS Usually, because of the contingent nature of the future, this question mark will not be fully understood. It may for that reason be "embarrassing" because it cannot be fully explained in present, known context. Once I was invited to dinner by the business associate of a friend. I felt uncomfortable at the gathering, as if there was an inner shadow, a hidden agenda. Hawaiian food was being served and though I really enjoy fresh pineapple, I was unable to eat the large chunks decoratively arranged on a glass platter and pierced with colored toothpicks. Finally, I made the excuse that I was coming down with the flu and went into the bathroom to do a short meditation and center my perceptions within whatever reality was available at the moment. As I glanced into the bathroom mirror, I was shocked to see a version of my face which was about twenty years older and haggard with dark circles under the eyes. I felt that this older version of myself was angry with me for remaining at the party. Profoundly upset, I left the bathroom and told the group that I had suddenly become extremely nauseated and did not want to stay at the party. I persuaded my friend to drive me home immediately. It was a long return journey during which my companion, who was extremely embarrassed, did not speak to me kindly. Against my advice, he remained in close contact with the couple who had given the party and also became estranged from me because he interpreted my hasty departure from the gathering as being arbitrary and socially immature. Later, the business in which the persons at the party and my erstwhile companion had invested much personal and professional time failed spectacularly and my dinner companion was fired from his job. Had I remained on the "happy party" destiny track I would indeed have been quite angry with myself (as glimpsed in the haggard, discontent image of my face I had somehow seen in the bathroom mirror) and would not have been able to write this essay from within a completely different nexus of circumstances thirty years later. INVISIBLE BARRIERS/ INVISIBLE PARADES But the perception of an alternate future, a timespace area which contains the intersection of parallel universes, does not always prefigure catastrophe. Occasionally, a traveler from the future of a positive parallel universe can beckon forward along a path which is different from what might have reasonably been anticipated, given the present circumstances. Usually, in these cases, it requires an act of conscious volition on the part of the perceiving individual to "switch" paths on the basis of an unexpected and/or odd intrusion into present circumstances which are well "locked in" by habit and expectation. This situation is such as if the individual saw a colorful and inviting parade with jugglers and free cider moving along just thirty yards away across a stone fence. These festivities are easy to see but can actually be reached only by climbing over the stone fence, an act which--unless the distant parade commands attention--is inconvenient and usually would not be arbitrarily undertaken. A clue to this process is that the happy parade is transpiring with or without the participation of the perceiving individual. He or she need only join in. No special effort is made by the participants in the more positive parallel universe to cross the barrier and "pick up"' anymore from a more negative or humdrum destiny. In fact, a forceful invitation to join a reputedly happy parade which one does not actually spontaneously perceive should be greeted with the utmost suspicion. For, as the old folk saying goes, "Misery loves company," and may attempt to lure the unwary into a negative, parallel universe. For DARK FRONTIER by Eugenia Macer-Story, on AMAZON.COM, Click Here.
